Wyoming Valley Watershed Coalition
A project of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council

"Protecting Watersheds through Education and Partnership"

What is a Watershed?
A geographic area defined by natural boundries that drains water, sediment, and dissolved materials to a common outlet
Why Watersheds?

Because the watershed is an interacting unit of waterways and the surrounding land, pollutants may affect not only the source areas, but areas a distance away.

What is the Coalition?

The coalition focuses on bringing together groups, industry and individuals to combine skill and draw upon the expertise in addressing water quality issues.
